Players of the Day
At Avila Soccer we like to recognize players who have trained exceptionally well. We recognize players for a variety of reasons; for being extremely focused, for displaying creativity and originality, and for conquering obstacles to performance; just to name a few. There's something very magical about the moment a new skill is mastered, both for the player and for our trainers.

Monique Hernandez Congratulations to Moe for her return after a 3 month out. Her shooting in the session was vintage Moe and got better with each shot. Also, that group always has a high quality scrimmage and the arrival of Moe increased that level even more. Welcome back Moe, you have been missed!

Hannah Vaughn Avila Soccer welcomes Hannah Vaughn who had a tremendous trial and came out of there breathing hard and sweating! Hannah started off quiet and cautious and by the end of the session was talkative and assertive. In particular she is very coordinated and surprised everyone with how quickly she picks up new ideas. Great job Hannah! |

Morgan Taylor Morgan made tremendous improvement in her shooting technique this week. She also carried herself with great composure and poise. In this weeks scrimmage her decision making was very quick and she show has begun to employ one touch play into her game. Her increased speed of play compliments her natural velocity making her a very dangerous player. Keep it up Morgan!

Natalia Bogner Natalia has been absolutely solid for the past month. Her dribbling last Thursday was second to none and even the trainers found it very hard to strip her of the ball. One could also see that she that every time she had the ball, she had premeditated ideas about what she was going to do next. Also she isn’t afraid to use her shooting drills despite training and playing against some of the best Avila Soccer athletes!

Nakia Graham Nakia joined our Friday 5:15 group for a make up and instantly had an impact on the focus level and the competitiveness of the other players. So much so, that we have decided to move her there on a permanent basis. Great Job Nakia….the effect you had on others is also known as leadership!
